I am the wanted man, I live outside of time
My love is real, you can see it in my wandering eye
I'm on the run again, the punishment will always fit the crime
I've been so cold, I said "so this is where I die"
And in that moment I saw, black's the same as white
The world's a grain of sand
I'm everywhere, I'm everything tonight
When everybody works he wants to play
When everybody leaves that's when he'll stay
When it's Christmas Day I'll be miles away with a smile on my face and you'll know that it's OK
Come on!
I was so cold, I thought "so this is where I die"
And in that moment I knew
I'm everywhere, I'm everything

Each line on this album is delivered with malice, and each word hits like a mace to the skull. Backxwash uses raw aggression to vent frustration and anguish in a way that evokes an anger with the world rather than a pity for her. Luke Warmwater
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
